[edit] General Information
Dexterity, or DEX, is the stat that dictates (similar to Agility) how nimble a character is. Unlike agility, however, dexterity is more of an offensive statistic; characters with high dexterity are often adept with ranged attacks, such as bows or shurikens.
[edit] Effects
[edit] Ranged Combat
A higher dexterity will increase the damage dealt by a character's ranged attacks; whether it be with a bow, or a simple thrown missile.
[edit] Endurance
The formula that calculates a character's Endurance takes their dexterity into account, in addition to their Agility, Strength, Stamina, and level. Increasing any one of the four melee stats will increase a character's endurance.
[edit] Heroic Dexterity
As with all the other primary stats, dexterity is affected by the heroic stat mechanic that was introduced with Secrets of Faydwer. Heroic Dexterity, specifically, increases a character's endurance pool, endurance regeneration, and cap for endurance regeneration. It also increases the damage done by ranged attacks, improves chance to successfully assassinate or headshot, and improves the chance to riposte, block, and parry incoming attacks.
