This quest is is for any lower level character. It involves delivering a letter of debt and getting some coin for your trouble. It is begun in the halfling city of Rivervale and is for any level character, though characters above level 4 will not receive much for their efforts.

Uner Gnarltrunk

Note to Tagil

This quest is initiated by speaking to Uner Gnarltrunk. He can be found in Rivervale, in the Jumjum field in front of the druid hall (Location: -124.88, -383.00, -9.81). Hail him and he will give you the following dialogue:

“	You say, 'Hail, Uner Gnarltrunk' Uner Gnarltrunk says, 'Hello there. Please watch where you are stepping when you’re out in the field. Nothing is more frustrating than having some fine jumjum ruined by your own careless feet. That reminds me, [Deputy Tagil] still owes us for that jumjum he stomped on the other day!' You say, 'What does Deputy Tagil owe you?' Uner says, 'Deputy Tagil is a fine young halfling who serves the vale well. But the other day, chasing that dirty Nillipuss, he trampled some fresh Jumjum. He promised to make amends but it must have slipped his mind. Please take this note to him as a friendly reminder.'	”

He will provide you with a scroll to give to Deputy Tagil.

Deputy Tagil

Location: In the Misty Thicket, standing guard at the entrance to Rivervale (331.19, -1358.22, 53.05)
Dialogue: Give Deputy Tagil the note from Uner and he will respond as follows:

“	Deputy Tagil says, 'What’s this? Oh dear. I am very sorry. Please take this to Uner with my apologies.'	”

He will give you a gold coin which you must return to Uner.

Return to Rivervale and give the coin to Uner Gnarltrunk and who will respond by saying:

“	Uner Gnarltrunk says, 'I knew that deputy Tagil had simply forgotten. He really is a good young halfling. Here, take this as a small payment for your time. Your faction standing with the Storm Reapers got better. Your faction standing with Mayor Gubbin got better. Your faction standing with the Merchants of Rivervale got better. Your faction standing with the Unkempt Druids got worse. You gain experience!! You receive 12 copper from Uner Gnarltrunk.	”
