Recast time
From EQ KnowledgePit
[edit] General Information
The term "recast time" (also "recast timer", "cooldown time", "cooldown timer", or simply "recast") refers to the amount of time that must pass between casts of a given spell. Recast timers also apply to disciplines and activated effects on items.
Originally, disciplines all shared one recast timer, and spells each had their own independent recast timers. However, over the years, it has come to pass that similar spells will often share one recast timer (a good example being the Enchanter line of AoE stun spells; keeping all surrounding mobs perpetually stunned is no longer possible), and disciplines are divided up into several distinct timers.
