Rogues are the sneaky class of Norrath. They have the abilities to pickpocket, backstab, and even assassinate their targets. Their Sneak and Hide skill are far greater than those of any other class; eventually they gain the Shroud of Stealth ability, which is more potent than regular invisibility. They also have the ability to detect and disarm traps, and pick locks. Rogues' melee DPS is at the top with Berserkers; Backstab is a very powerful skill.
[edit] Relation to Bards
Rogues are often considered the melee component of the "Bard hybrid"; although Bards are generally the lowest melee DPS, they have a lesser ability to sneak, hide, detect/disarm traps, and pick locks. Bards also have access to most of the Rogue illusion masks.
