[edit] General Information

Strength, or STR, is the statistic used to represent the raw power in a character's muscles. The more Strength a character has, the harder that character will hit in melee combat, and the more weight they can carry (one stone per point of Strength). Strength is also one of the four stats factored in to determine a character's Endurance, along with Stamina, Agility, and Dexterity; similar to how Mana is calculated based on a player's Wisdom or Intelligence, depending on their class.

[edit] Mechanics

The way Strength impacts a character's melee combat is primarily by increasing their Attack rating. At lower levels (61? and lower), however, a higher Strength will actually directly increase a character's Damage Interval value in addition to improving their average DI roll (by increasing Attack).

[edit] Heroic Strength

As with all the other primary stats, strength is affected by the heroic stat mechanic that was introduced with Secrets of Faydwer. Heroic Strength, specifically, increases a character's endurance pool, endurance regeneration, and cap for endurance regeneration. It also increases the damage done by melee attacks and improves the AC bonus granted while using a shield.
