This task starts with Aendurel Tethandras, found in the small camp near the Steamfont Mountains zone line in Loping Plains. It yields some experience and faction with the Fang Breakers.
This task is repeatable upon completion.

To start this task, hail Aendurel Tethandras in the Loping Plains, and follow the dialog:

Aendurel Tethandras says 'Hail to you Soandso. I am Aendurel Tethandras, and I lead the nocturnal division of the Fangbreakers. I am charged with helping cleanse the Loping Plains of the orc and werewolf infestations that have been plaguing these lands for a very long time. We are always looking for new [members] to assist us in this task. Know anyone interested?' You say, 'Members?' Aendurel Tethandras says 'Aye, to become a member of the Fangbreakers you must help in the cause of cleansing these lands. There are many camps of Shadowmane werewolves and Bloodmoon orcs, and even more camps sprouting up everyday. We need more members to combat the rampant growth of orcs and werewolves. Would you be interested in helping assist the Fangbreakers in [cleansing] the Loping Plains of these abominations?' You say, 'I would gladly assist with cleansing the Loping plains.' You have been assigned the task 'Taking Back the Night' Aendurel Tethandras says 'Very well Floppie. Go forth and defeat 12 Shadowmane werewolves and 12 Bloodmoon orcs. You will also need to vanquish two important members of hte Shadowmanes and Bloodmoons: Lieutenant Kulthar of the Shadowmanes and Orrel the Blood Mystic of the Bloodmoons. You may find Kulthar somewhere south of here. Orrel on the other hand, was last seen west near the river. Report back to me once you have cleansed these lands.' | ” |

All four "kill" stages of this task are made available when the task is first received.
[edit] Defeat 12 Shadowmane werewolves
Most of the Shadowmane werewolves in the zone count for this portion of the task.
One of the best places to kill the Shadowmane is in the Southeast corner or the zone just north of the shoreline. This camp also contains Lieutenant Kulthar who is needed for the task.
[edit] Vanquish Lieutenant Kulthar, a prominent Shadowmane
Lieutenant Kulthar can be found in the Shadowmane camp in the Southeast corner of the zone on a small hill. The other werewolves will assist him, but his spawn spot (loc needed) is out of assist range from all other static mobs so he can easily be single pulled.
Kulthar does not summon. His respawn is approximately 30 minutes.
[edit] Defeat 12 Bloodmoon orcs
Again, almost any orc with "Bloodmoon" in its name will update for this task. There is a nice camp almost due west of the Fang Breaker camp near a small lake that serves as an ideal location because it also is the spawn point for Orrel the Blood Mystic in this task.
In addition, doing this task in conjunction with The Daring Rescue is a good idea because the ambushers you need to kill in that task count towards this objective and spawn at this same camp.
[edit] Slay Orrel the Blood Mystic, an important Bloodmoon orc
Orrel the Blood Mystic spawns in the center of the orc camp near the lake to the west of the Fang Breaker camp. Orcs will assist him, but he can be pulled out of the camp single if care is taken in the direction he is pulled (to the Southeast or North-Northeast are the best).
Orrel does not summon but casts Shaman spells. His respawn is approximately 30 minutes.

Your reward for this task is a small faction increase with Fang Breakers and a small amount of experience (roughly 1% of normal experience at level 80).
