This is a series of quests that eventually lead to the acquisition of Ancient Faycite Bone Circum. The item gets progressively stronger as different phases are completed.
[edit] Overview
Be prepared for a long task, vaguely reminiscent of The Skull of Den Lord Rakban from Depths of Darkhollow or Breakdown in Communications from Gates of Discord. Overall this quest involves at least 20 single-group missions as well as two 12-man mini raids.
The item has a buff which improves each time a new gem is added to the item. The final reward gives you a buff that does not stack with the Nagafen Familiar from Legends of Norrath loot cards, and gives the following:
- Infravision
- 700 hit points
- 400 mana
- 400 endurance
- -500 Spell-Damage Shield
- 120 points of Damage Shield
- Mitigate Spell Damage 15% up to 3000 total
- Mitigate Melee Damage 7% up to 3000 total
[edit] The Beginning
The first thing you need to do is complete a series of five sequential missions from the Loping Plains, starting with Larquin Fangbreaker and continuing with Maria Starforge (for the 4th and 5th). These are also needed in order to request Bloodmoon Keep raids. These five tasks are:
- The Bloodmoon - rewards Crusty Were-Orc Claw
- Walking into Spider Webs - rewards Dirty Were-Orc Claw
- Bronzebeard's Fate - rewards Grimy Were-Orc Claw
- The Departed - rewards Grungy Were-Orc Claw
- The Dark Crystals - rewards Grubby Were-Orc Claw
Once you have the Were-Orc Claws as well as apprehensive faction with the Fang Breakers, you need to purchase a Knuckle Bone Extractor from the Fang Breaker camp.
Combine each Claw in the Extractor to receive five knuckle bones.
Now, you need to achieve indifferent (confirm?) faction with the Fang Breakers and purchase a Kunckle Bone Stringing Cord. Combine all five knuckle bones in this to create your Were-Orc Bone Circum.
This has a clicky - Ember Eyes - a 45 minute buff with 45 minute recast that gives you Infravision.

Casting Identify on your Were-Orc Bone Circum will yield Could use a little green... - hmmm...
At this point you need to complete the two 12-man raids offered by Kadara Fangbreaker. You will have access to these two raids after completing the second of Larquin's tasks.
- Moonfang rewards Ancient Emerald Faycite Bisection right half
- The Broodmother rewards Ancient Emerald Faycite Bisection left half
The two bisections must be combined in an Ancient Faycite Recrystalizer from Automated Vending Unit II in Dragonscale Hills. You will need to raise your Ak'Anon Strike Force V faction to at least indifferent to purchase this.
Once you have the combined Ancient Emerald Faycite, purchase Ancient Faycite Mounting Clasp from the automated vending unit in Dragonscale Hills. This is a two-slot container that identifies as Attaches Ancient Faycite to Bone Circum.
Combine your Ancient Emerald Faycite with the Were-Orc Bone Circum and receive your first Ancient Faycite Bone Circum - which has the clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier. This effect grants you all the benefits from the previous circum as well as 100 hit points.

Now you need to collect three different Ancient Citrine Faycite Trisections and combine them in your Ancient Faycite Recrystalizer to form an Ancient Citrine Faycite. Combine this with your current Circum to create the second Ancient Faycite Bone Circum, which has the clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier.
So overall, thus far, your effect is:
- Infravision
- 200 hit points
- 150 mana
- 150 endurance

At this point you need to collect three Ancient Aquamarine Faycite Trisections and combine them in your Recrystalizer to form an Ancient Aquamarine Faycite. Combine this with your current Circum to create your third More than one exact match found for "Ancient Faycite Bone Circum"; please use the item search and identify the item by ID, which has the clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier.
So overall, thus far, your effect is:
- Infravision
- 300 hit points
- 200 mana
- 200 endurance
- -300 Spell-Damage Shield

Next, you need to collect Ancient Amber Faycite Trisections and combine them in your Recrystalizer to form an Ancient Amber Faycite. Combine this with your current Circum to create your fourth Ancient Faycite Bone Circum, which has the clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier.
So overall, thus far, your effect is:
- Infravision
- 400 hit points
- 250 mana
- 250 endurance
- -200 Spell-Damage Shield
- 30 points of Damage Shield

At this point you need to collect three Ancient Sapphire Faycite Trisections and combine them in your Recrystalizer to form an Ancient Sapphire Faycite. Combine this with your current Circum to create Ancient Faycite Bone Circum number five, which has the clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier.
So overall, thus far, your effect is:
- Infravision
- 500 hit points
- 300 mana
- 300 endurance
- -300 Spell-Damage Shield
- 60 points of Damage Shield
- Mitigate Spell Damage 5% up to 1000 total

Next, you need to collect three Ancient Garnet Faycite Trisections and combine them in your Recrystalizer to form an Ancient Garnet Faycite; combine this with your current Circum to create Ancient Faycite Bone Circum number six, which has the clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier.
So overall, thus far, your effect is:
- Infravision
- 600 hit points
- 350 mana
- 350 endurance
- -400 Spell-Damage Shield
- 90 points of Damage Shield
- Mitigate Spell Damage 10% up to 2000 total
- Mitigate Melee Damage 3% up to 2000 total

At this point you need to collect four Ancient Amethyst Faycite Quadsection to form and combine them in your Recrystalizer to form an Ancient Amethyst Faycite. Combine this with your current Circum to create the seventh and final Ancient Faycite Bone Circum, which has the powerful clicky effect Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier.
Overall, your effect is:
- Infravision
- 700 hit points
- 400 mana
- 400 endurance
- -500 Spell-Damage Shield
- 120 points of Damage Shield
- Mitigate Spell Damage 15% up to 3000 total
- Mitigate Melee Damage 7% up to 3000 total
