Warriors are the premier tank class; the best out of the pure melee classes, and (naturally) better than Paladins, Shadow Knights, and the other hybrids. Warriors have the highest softcap for AC, and the highest overcap returns. They also get higher Defense, Dodge, Parry, and Riposte skills due to being a pure melee class.
The most effective races for a Warrior are Ogre (Frontal stun immunity, ability to use slam instead of bash, good starting tank and melee stats), Barbarian(Good starting stats, and ability to use slam), Iksar (Good choice due to their racial AC bonus, and innate regen, bad for starting levels, due to being unable to use plate early on.), Trolls (their regeneration bonus is helpful, and being a large race, they are able to use slam)
