[edit] General Information

Wisdom, or WIS, is pretty self-explanatory; it represents how wise a character is. Wise like a priest, rather than intelligent like an arcane researcher.

[edit] Effects

[edit] Mana

The formula that dictates a character's mana will take their level and either their wisdom or Intelligence into account, depending on their class. The classes that use wisdom for mana (Priests and Priest Hybrids) are Clerics, Druids, Shamans, Beastlords, Paladins, and Rangers.

[edit] Skills

Many skills will raise faster if a character has higher intelligence, or wisdom; the game chooses the higher one for such skills. This is the case for all skills except melee-related skills; for these skills, Dexterity is the stat used. Most notably, intelligence and wisdom are used for tradeskills.

[edit] Heroic Wisdom

As with all the other primary stats, wisdom is affected by the heroic stat mechanic that was introduced with Secrets of Faydwer. Heroic Wisdom, specifically, further increases a character's mana pool, mana regeneration, and mana regeneration cap. These effects are only granted to Wisdom casters.
